Live relocation in Henderson: what's possible and what isn't.
Henderson's Africanized bee situation means live relocation is not the right approach for every colony we encounter. Africanized colonies transferred to managed apiaries can cross-breed with European bees and increase the defensiveness of the managed hive — which is why most responsible beekeepers do not accept Africanized colonies.
