Live Bee Relocation
Henderson, NV

When conditions allow, we relocate bee colonies to local Henderson-area beekeepers rather than exterminating them. The bees continue contributing to local agriculture and honey production — away from your property.

Best candidates for live relocation

  • Fresh swarms (landed within 24–72 hours)
  • Docile colonies with no Africanized indicators
  • Accessible hives not deep inside structures
  • European honey bee colonies confirmed
  • Colonies on trees, fences, or open structures
  • HOA requests for humane bee handling
  • Seasonal swarm relocations (April–June peak)

Live relocation in Henderson: what's possible and what isn't.

Henderson's Africanized bee situation means live relocation is not the right approach for every colony we encounter. Africanized colonies transferred to managed apiaries can cross-breed with European bees and increase the defensiveness of the managed hive — which is why most responsible beekeepers do not accept Africanized colonies. We assess every colony before recommending a removal approach.

For docile swarms — the temporary clusters of bees that land on Henderson trees, fences, and vehicles during April through June — live relocation is frequently the right choice. Swarms are bees in transit between nesting sites and have not yet established comb. They are easier to relocate, less aggressive, and represent an excellent opportunity to save the colony. If you spot a swarm in Henderson, call us before it finds a permanent home in your wall.
